I am so hardcore

I have been nesting like crazy. I don't remember nesting when I was pregnant with Savannah. Then again I may not have recognized it because I was working full time and packing for the move to Utah. With Mae however I can't seem to keep myself busy enough. So what do I do? Well, I clean with oven with baking soda! Now that I have done this I don't know what to do with myself. Before:

It was completely disgusting! I don't know if it had ever been cleaned. I know I never cleaned it before and it was pretty bad when we "took it over."
After:

Look how it sparkles!

More ready than I thought

I woke up this morning and I guess I am more ready for little Mae to come than I thought. I was able to wake up just after my water broke, it took the whole dream to get me there. I was very antsy! I knew it was going to happen from the second my dream started but I couldn't force it to happen before it was "time." I am so excited!!! I have been downplaying the last four weeks and three days I have left until I am due. And for some strange reason, when people see me ask how long I have left they give me a bewildered look and then say "Oh WOW!" You would think that I look like I am going to explode.

A little disclaimer that may sound a little mean but I just have to say it. Stop trying to convince me that Mae is not good enough for a first name. I will not settle for it to be my little baby's middle name so you should just stop offering your suggestions. Her name will be Mae so you need to get used to that idea. I just don't want to hear it anymore. And no, I have not decided on a middle name. Maybe if you ask what names I am thinking of you should just smile if you don't like it and say "what a lovely name." Then you could tell your friends that I am picking a name you just don't like, give them your suggestions, and leave it at that. Lets just all be grateful her name won't be LaFonDuh or Bombqueesha. When you see little Mae you will know that no other name was meant for her.

I am also going to St. George for a week with Savannah. Josh has to go out of town again. He went to Georgia for a week in June, the following week he worked late and on Saturday for company training, last week he worked later than unusual, this week I expect to be a nice work week (thank heaven!), and next week he is going to Denver. Way to cram in all this travel and crappy work schedule right before the baby comes. Because he is leaving for Denver Savannah and I get a little vacation with Grandma Kelly, Grandpa Bill, and Uncle Jack. Josh said if he had to go out of town he would feel much better about it if I was with family so we are getting shipped off. So don't worry ladies at church, my absence will not mean I had the baby, unless I do but, I am not planning on it.

P.S. I really miss the polk-a-dots from my blog background. I need to replace them, I know. I have been procrastinating because I don't want to fight with HTML. Oh my! I am sorry I swore.

Forgotten and Found

Some night last week I left Savannah and Josh for a little while to help out my neighbor. Apparently Savannah had a really hard time, she didn't want me to leave. Josh said she cried for an hour. The only way he got her to stop was by looking at pictures on our computer. He found this picture in our photo booth. I took it after my belly dance performance in September last year. I totally forgot about it. It was really cute because when I got home he made me close my eyes. He said he was going to show me THE most beautiful picture he has seen in a long time. Here is the picture:

I think it is darling that Josh was taken back by my "stunning looks." I rarely take pictures of myself let alone enjoy pictures others take of me. And I never wear this much make-up ever! It was really sweet to come home to such a sweet guy. It was especially sweet because of this...
He reminded me I am still beautiful when my belly stick out that far. It isn't that I don't feel "pretty" or "look good" being pregnant, I am just uncomfortable and large. Feeling "pretty" right now is farthest from my mind. I am more obsessed about cleaning. Just wait for the near future post about what I did to my oven.

The big DUNK!

The first weekend in June we went to Saint George for Jack's baptism. It was a fun filled weekend. We wish it could have lasted longer. It was hot hot hot! Almost the entire weekend Savannah spent outside either jumping on the tramp, spraying the hose, or jumping in and out of the little kiddy pool Bill and Kelly got her for the weekend. I didn't take too many pictures because well, I just forgot. I was a little preoccupied with my massive swelling feet. Savannah had a really hard time when Jack was baptized. When she saw Josh and Jack get in the baptismal font she started crying hysterically. And when Jack was being confirmed she started again and in-between sobs saying "I don't want jack to be baptized." I had to take her out and we had a good little conversation about baptism and how it is what Heavenly Father wants us to do and we need to be baptized to live with him again. Now that we are home and it is all over she says she needs to be baptized. Go figure?!

Pre-dunk

Post dunk

When Savannah turns eight Josh will baptize her but when Mae turns 8 Jack will be 16 and he could baptize her. We thought that was fun to think about.

HAHAHAHAHAH!

I was just one the phone making a visiting teaching appointment when my daughter, butt naked, walks into the kitchen with a cup full of a yellow substance. Can you guess what it was? Pee! She pee'd in a cup. Don't worry the picture to the right is just apple juice but you get the idea right?!

I had to go to the doctor on Wednesday and I brought her with me. She was in the bathroom with me when I had to pee in a cup.

She had to go to her doctor this morning because we suspected Strep. Before going to the doctor she was talking about peeing in a cup when we got there and listening her her heart beep. I explained that is not what we are seeing the doctor for today and that the doctor would listen to her heart beep. Well, I was right, the doctor didn't have her pee in a cup so shortly after we got home she took matters into her own hands. I wanted a picture so bad, she looked so proud of herself but she dumped it before I could stop laughing on the phone. When I hung up I checked on her in the bathroom. Boy was I glad I did because she said she needed to poo in the cup. I was able to stop that from going any further. Of course she says, "Why mom? Why?" Well, it is unsanitary.

I think they look like hamster cheeks from the back..

We went to St. George over the weekend because my brother-in-law had his baptism. On the drive down my feet started swelling. Not just any kind of swelling, the kind where you poke the skin and you feel it squish. The kind where when you look at me from behind and my ankles look like hamster cheeks full of food. The kind of swelling where I can't fit into one pair of shoes except flip flops and even that is a stretch. My toes look like vienna sausages. The straps of my flip flops leave indentations in a way that makes my feet look deformed. It is horrible. Damn you 104 degrees, damn you! I know those are strong words but I am not happy about it.

And these pictures don't even do me justice.

Ode to the pregnant belly...

I was a co-host of a baby shower last week Thursday for a girl in my ward, Leah. I was in charge of making the cake. It has been a while since I did my last cake. It looked great and tasted great but was not up to par with past cakes I have done. Mostly because I used commercial lemon filling instead of homemade lemon filling. I just didn't have the time because I have been temping. Here is it, my ode to the pregnant belly...
