Broccoli Hairs

Josh and I were sitting on the couch when Vannah came in with her Fisher-Price Little People Camping Adventure set. Vannah gave the camper to Josh so he could eat the food inside it and denied me the pleasure of playing.
I weaseled my way in by picking up the blond doll and showing Vannah the butterfly in its hand.

"Vannah, this one is like you because she likes to hold bugs too."
Josh pipes in and says (holding the brown haired one), "This one has broccoli hairs." To which Savannah responds, "Broccy hairs like me." hahahahaha!! Personally I don't think either doll shares any resemblance with Vannah.

Conversations That Make Your Heart Melt

Josh and I love that Savannah is talking better especially when she says things that make us melt.

A few weeks ago Savannah was playing with Josh and she got in trouble. The end of the conversation went a bit like this:

Vannah: "I want my fadder." (super pouty)
Josh: "I am your father."
Vannah: "No, my udder fadder."
Josh: "Who?"
Vannah: "My Heavenly Fadder."

We have been making an extra effort lately that when we drive past a temple we talk about it.

We have had a handful of conversations very similar to each other within the last month or so. They have gone about like this:

Me: "Vannah that is the temple. Do you see it?"
Vannah: "Yes."
Me: "Isn't it beautiful. Mom and Dad got married in a temple. It is Heavenly Father and Jesus' house"
Vannah: "I go there to my Heavenly Father and Jesus house."
Josh: "When you get a little bigger you can go inside Vannah."
Vannah: "I get marry there. I take my huband there and we go dancing. I go dancing wit my huband in the temple."

Except for a night or two ago when Josh and Vannah were in the living room and she said out of the blue without any parental help directing the conversation, "I dancin wit my huband. I marry heem in da temple."

My Big Day Has Come And Gone

You would think my friend's wedding would have been her big day but it really was mine. My blood, sweat, and tears were on display as I presented my creation...

Pretty! Isn't it!?!?!
